The 10-seed Colorado Buffaloes out of the Pac-12 Conference will face the 2-seed Marquette Golden Eagles out of the Big East in a 2^nd round matchup in the South Region with the game taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with tip-off scheduled for 12:10 on Sunday afternoon and will air on CBS.

The Pac-12 Conference remains perfect in the 2024 NCAA Tournament with a record of 5-0 in the tournament and the Colorado Buffaloes have already won two games after winning in the round of the First Four against the Boise State Broncos by a score of 60-53 the Buffaloes would defeat the Florida Gators in the Round of 64 in the tournament by a score of 102-100. 

Colorado trailed the majority of the first half and trailed by as many as 10 points before tying the game with 3 seconds left to go in the 1^st half at 45-45. The Buffaloes took control of the game in the 2^nd half and led the majority of the half while leading by as many as 13 points and had a 90-77 lead with 5:23 left to go in the game, however, the Florida Gators would cut the deficit to six points after going on a 6-0 run and would tie the game at 100-100 with 9 seconds left to go in the game before KJ Simpsons would hit the game-winning shot as part of his 23 total points in the game with 3 seconds left to go in the game to give the Colorado Buffaloes the 102-100 win. 

The Buffaloes are one of the best shooting teams in the tournament as they rank 10^th nationally in field goal percentage at 49.18% and will need another strong performance offensively when they face the Marquette Golden Eagles in the 2^nd round of the tournament.

The Marquette Golden Eagles advanced to the 2^nd round of the NCAA Tournament for the 2^nd season in a row, however, they have not made it past the 2^nd round since the 2013 NCAA Tournament in which they advanced to the Elite Eight before losing to the Syracuse Orange by a score of 39-55 following an 87-69 win against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in the 1^st round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament. 

The Golden Eagles trailed the Hilltoppers 36-43 at halftime, however, Marquette would go on a 17-5 run to start the 2^nd half and would take a 53-48 lead with 14:34 left to go in the game and would never trail Western Kentucky after taking the lead. The Golden Eagles, like the Buffaloes, are one of the best shooting teams in the tournament with a field goal percentage of 47.83% which ranks 28^th nationally. 

Marquette will look to advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time since the 2013 NCAA Tournament with a win over the 10-seed Colorado Buffaloes in the 2^nd round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament on Sunday.

This will be the 4^th time in the history of these two programs that they will face each other in college basketball with Marquette holding a 3-1 series advantage over Colorado and the most recent meeting coming nearly 40 years ago in the 1986-87 college basketball season which resulted in the 3^rd straight win in the series for the Golden Eagles with a 83-68 victory.

The Pac-12 is looking like the best conference in college basketball this season after starting the tournament off 5-0 with two of the wins coming from Colorado while Marquette has only lost nine games this season with three of the losses coming against the UConn Huskies. The Golden Eagles have won three straight games in the series against the Buffaloes and I look for that trend to continue which is why I am buying the .5 point and laying the points with the Marquette Golden Eagles when they face the Colorado Buffaloes on Sunday afternoon.
