The 10-seed Nevada Wolf Pack will face the 7-seed Dayton Flyers in the West Region of the 2024 NCAA Tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Delta Center with the game scheduled to start at 4:30 PM ET on Thursday afternoon and will air on TBS.

The Nevada Wolf Pack will be playing in their 2^nd consecutive NCAA Tournament and their 11^th overall after finishing in 2^nd place in the regular season in the Mountain West with a conference record of 13-5 and an overall record of 26-7, however, the Wolf Pack were eliminated in their first game in the Mountain West Conference Tournament with a 78-85 loss against the Colorado State Rams which also ended their seven-game winning streak. Nevada has been one of the best defensive efficiency teams in college basketball this season as they are allowing an average of 67.12 points per game which ranks 50^th nationally. The Wolf Pack have lost their last three games in the NCAA Tournament including last year’s 73-98 loss in the First Four against the Arizona State Sun Devils. 

The Nevada Wolf Pack will look to end their three-game losing streak in the NCAA Tournament and bounce back following the loss against the Colorado State Rams in the Mountain West Conference Tournament when they play the Dayton Flyers in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

The Dayton Flyers are the 7-seed in the West Region of the 2024 NCAA Tournament after receiving an at-large bid with an overall record of 24-7 and finishing with a conference record of 14-4 in the Atlantic 10 Conference which led to a 3^rd place finish in the conference, however, the Flyers were eliminated in their first game in the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament against the Duquesne Dukes by a score of 57-65 after scoring their 3^rd fewest points in a game this season. 

The Flyers have been one of the best teams defensively in college basketball this season ranking 30^th nationally with an average of 66.29 points per game. Dayton will be playing in their 19^th NCAA tournament and their first since the 2017 NCAA Tournament which resulted in a 58-64 loss against the Wichita State Shockers in the 1^st round. The Flyers have not made it past the 1^st round of the NCAA Tournament in their last two appearances and were a 7 seed in both of those tournaments and have lost in the 1^st round of the NCAA tournament the last three times they were a 7 seed. 

The Dayton Flyers will look to end that trend when they face the Nevada Wolf Pack in the 1^st round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament on Thursday afternoon.
