Atlanta Hawks vs. Chicago Bulls

February 12, 2024

The Atlanta Hawks and the Chicago Bulls will clash Monday night inside the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia in what should be a competitive game on paper. They tip it off at 7:30 pm.

Bookmaker has installed the Hawks as a solid 3.5-point favorite.

Atlanta Hawks Betting Preview

The Hawks (24-29) are struggling and they do not have consistent scoring and all-around solid play like we have seen in seasons past. They are the definition of a team that is inconsistent as they have won two straight, which followed a two-game slide.

Before that, they ripped off four straight wins which followed a four-game losing streak. That is the definition of being inconsistent. They still get solid production from Trae Young who is netting 27 a game on the season.

Young is their primary scorer and he is the one that does not shy away from taking the big shot at all even if he has to put up 30 plus shots in a game. He adds 10 assists as well.

They need to get more from their role players including Dejounte Murray who puts up 21 a night and has the ability to also put up bigger numbers. If the Hawks want to make a run, these two need to score more and also take over games.

They are a brutal 17-36 against the number this season.

Chicago Bulls Betting Preview

The Bulls (25-28) are not a bad team and their record might not be great but they are a young team in transition. They have dropped five of eight overall and would love to find a way to get to .500 on the season. They also know that they can not sink deeper in the division as they have already fallen 11 games back of the first place and upstart Cleveland Cavaliers in the Central Division.

Chicago has some solid talent on the floor, including veteran scorer and slasher in DeMar DeRozan, who is averaging around 22 points per game and is still showing he is a leader and explosive scorer at the age of 34 years old. He can still put the ball on the floor and create his own shot too, which comes in handy late in games.

They are still without Zach LaVine, but they also are getting some solid production from point guard Coby White, who is averaging around 19 a game this season and has shown he loves to get his teammates into the mix. He is adding 5.2 assists per game and has shown the ability to be a solid floor general as well.

Chicago connects on a solid 56% from the floor. Look for them to try to get some easy buckets around the rim and in the paint. The Bulls are 26-26-1 against the spread this season.

Game Odds, Series Trends and Free Pick

The Bulls are 3-2 in their last five games and 3-2 in their last five games against the number. They are also 12-13 in their road games against the spread too. The totals have gone over in five out of their last five games. Atlanta is 3-2 in their last five games and a very solid 4-1 in their last five games against the spread. But, they are just 9-17 in their road games against the number. The totals have gone over in three out of their last five games.
