The Atlanta Hawks are set to clash against the Cleveland Cavaliers inside the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. They tip it off at 7:30 pm in what is a good test for a young Cavaliers team to see if they can beat inferior teams. 

Bookmaker has installed the Cavaliers as a very slim - 1.5 point favorite. 

The Cavaliers believe they are a team on the verge of doing something special this season. They are a young team that has some really nice players and a solid mix of young and veteran players that are buying in. They were 18 games over .500 entering play on Tuesday night. 

Their offense is smooth and it runs through sharp shooting guard Donovan Mitchell who is really showing he is a big-time play making threat and scorer. He is netting around 28 points per game to go along with just under six rebounds and over six assists. He is a complete player and loves to get his teammates involved on the floor. 

Cleveland is a team that really wants to push the pace and the tempo and score at least 120 a game. They average around 114 on the season, but they feel if they can get it to 120 plus they are a hard team to stop and beat. They connect on 51% from the floor, including 37% from beyond the arc. 

The Hawks have not had the type of season they were expecting and have struggled with finding consistency as a unit. On offense, they struggle to find the right shot and also they have had issues on the offensive glass when it comes to rebounding. They have dropped five of seven entering play Tuesday night. 

They still have a couple of decent players and shooters on the floor in Trae Young, who is still a threat to explode for 30 points in a game. He is still netting around 26 or so a game and has had some big games this season, but they have not been like they used to be years ago.

Young needs to rely on more of his teammates and unfortunately they have not been able to bail him out this season. Shooting guard Dejounte Murray has played well this season as he is averaging around 21 points per game for Atlanta, which is scoring 120 a game this season. 

The Hawks connect on 53% from the floor, including 35% from beyond the arc and are capable of knocking down their shots in spurts. 

The Hawks are 2-3 in their last five games and 2-3 in their last five games against the number. They are a rough 9-20 in their road games against the spread.
