Two Top 25 SEC teams will square off on Wednesday night when the 11^th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks travel to Auburn, Alabama to face the 13^th-ranked Auburn Tigers at Neville Arena with the game tipping off at 8:30 PM ET on Wednesday night and will air on the SEC Network.

The South Carolina Gamecocks enter this game ranked 11^th in the AP Poll and 11^th in the Coaches Poll with a record of 21-3 and are tied for 1^st place with the Alabama Crimson Tide for 1^st place in the SEC with a conference record of 9-2 and are on a seven-game winning streak following Saturday’s 75-60 win at home against the Vanderbilt Commodores. The success of the Gamecocks this season can be attributed to their defensive play as they are allowing the 17^th fewest points per game in college basketball with an average of 64.13 points allowed per game. 

Offensively, South Carolina has been slightly above average as they are averaging 72.48 points per game which is more than the league average of 71.86 points per game. Meechie Johnson has been one of the better players on the team as he leads the team in scoring and steals with an average of 14.1 points and 0.9 steals per game. The South Carolina Gamecocks will look to extend their winning streak to eight games when they travel to face the Auburn Tigers.

The Auburn Tigers enter this game ranked 13^th in the AP Poll and 12^th in the Coaches Poll with an overall record of 19-5 which includes a record of 8-3 in the SEC which puts them in 3^rd place in the conference, however, the Tigers are coming off a 65-81 loss on the road against the Florida Gators on Saturday which also ended their three-game winning streak. Auburn has been one of the highest-scoring teams in college basketball this season as they are averaging the 20^th most points per game with an average of 83.09 points per game. 

Johni Broome has been one of the best players on the team and leads the team in scoring, rebounds, and blocks with an average of 16 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game. Defensively, the Tigers have also been above average as they are allowing an average of 66.52 points per game which is less than the national average of 71.86 points per game. The Auburn Tigers will look to bounce back following the loss against the Gators when they host the South Carolina Gamecocks on Wednesday night.
