Two Top 25 teams in the SEC will square off on Wednesday when the 11^th-ranked Auburn Tigers travel to Knoxville, Tennessee to face the 4^th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers at the Thompson-Boling Arena with the game tipping off at 7:00 PM ET on Wednesday evening and will air on ESPN 2.

The Auburn Tigers enter this game ranked 11^th in the AP Poll and 11^th in the Coaches Poll with a record of 21-6 and are in a tie with the South Carolina Gamecocks for 3^rd place in the SEC with a conference record of 10-4 while having won two of the previous three games which includes Saturday’s 97-76 win on the road against the Georgia Bulldogs. The success of the Tigers this season can be attributed to their offensive play as they rank 24^th nationally in scoring with an average of 82.15 points per game. 

Defensively, Auburn has also been an above-average team as they are allowing an average of 67 points per game which is below the national average of 71.93 points per game. Johni Broome has played a pivotal role in the success the Auburn Tigers have had this season as he leads the team in scoring, rebounds, and blocks with an average of 16.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game. 

The Auburn Tigers will look to build off the momentum following the win against the Georgia Bulldogs when they travel to face the 4^th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers.

The Tennessee Volunteers enter this game ranked 4^th in the AP Poll and 4^th in the Coaches Poll with an overall record of 21-6 and are in a tie with the Alabama Crimson Tide for 1^st place in the SEC with a conference record of 11-3 while having won six of their last seven games and are on a four-game winning streak following Saturday’s 86-51 win at home against the Texas A&M Aggies. 

Offensively, Tennessee has been one of the highest-scoring teams in college basketball this season ranking 45^th nationally with an average of 80.04 points per game. The Volunteers have also been an above-average team defensively as they are allowing an average of 67.15 points per game which ranks 57^th in college basketball. Dalton Knecht has been one of the better players for Tennessee this season and leads the team in scoring with an average of 20.1 points per game. 

The Tennessee Volunteers will look to extend their winning streak to five games when they host the 11^th-ranked Auburn Tigers on Wednesday evening.
