Eli Mefford Betting Preview

Mefford has yet to win a fight since his professional debut in 2021, as he has lost all four of his battles. His most recent defeat was a first round TKO against Austin Robinson back in May of last year.

In all of his losses, he has lost the most by knockout at two. This will be a good opportunity to get back on track, assuming he has made improvements since his last fight.

This will be his debut in Bellator, which will be interesting to see how he stacks up against the competition. He is 0-3 under the B2 Fighting Series promotion, in which he faced other fighters getting their start in MMA professionally.

Prior to his professional debut, he went 8-5 in amateur bouts against solid opposition. This battle is a must-win for him, as people are not taking him seriously as a fighter.

Michael Blockhus Betting Preview

Blockhus is entering his first professional MMA bout and there is a lot of excitement from his camp. He is a former University of Minnesota wrestler that was able to reach the national qualifiers four times and even reached the Big Ten finals last year.

He has been working on his MMA career in the offseason when he was not wrestling in school. He has been training with a former teammate, Mitch McKee, with his MMA background.

The University of Minnesota has produced a handful of excellent wrestlers over the years. Most notably, Brock Lesnar and Logan Storley. Time will tell if Blockhus is also able to translate his wrestling into a successful MMA career.

The following moneyline from MyBookie shows that Michael Blockhus is an overwhelming favorite to win this battle. To get the most out of your bet on Blockhus, consider putting him with other fighters on the night in a parlay.

  • Eli Mefford: +601

  • Michael Blockhus: -1666

  • *odds are subject to changes

According to Mefford’s resume, he is 45 years old. This does not bode well against a fighter that is exceptionally well suited on the ground from his college performances and who is arguably going to be quicker.

Blockhus has been impressive in his college days, but this will be a big step in his career. However, he gets a softball entry into this realm against a fighter that has been struggling.

Final Pick: Take Michael Blockhus to Win at -1666
