Nurmagomedov is aiming to keep his undefeated winning streak alive with this matchup. His previous win was a first round rear-naked choke submission over Benson Henderson in Bellator 292 in March of this year.

He has a balanced resume in his 17 wins so far, which consist of eight knockouts, six submissions, and three decisions. 11 of his 17 wins have resulted in first round finishes, making him a deadly threat at the start.

He had previously shown promise in the Gorilla Fighting organization, going 5-0 against solid opponents. However, he has since been 6-0 in Bellator against some of the best fighters and has quickly jumped to the top.

Despite being the champion in Bellator, he is considered to be the 14^th best lightweight fighter in the world. In addition, he is also ranked as the 48^th best pound for pound fighter in the world.

Primus has scored some quality wins in his time with Bellator with his knockout power, despite having only a few. He has also recently found success in his last fight, which was a unanimous decision over Mansour Barnaoui in Bellator 296 in May of this year.

He has amassed 12 wins that consists of two knockouts, six submissions, and four decisions. He has completed eight first round finishes and two of his three losses have come by decision.

He has spent a lot of time in Bellator against some of the best fighters in the lightweight division. With a 10-3 record and currently ranking fourth, he is due for a title shot as he is nearing the end of his career at 38.

He is currently ranked as the 62^nd best lightweight fighter in the world. This is a tremendous opportunity that he cannot let slip through his hands.
