Coming up in Bellator 301, current bantamweight champion Sergio Pettis (23-5-0) takes on interim champion Patrick “Patchy” Mix (18-1-0) to decide the holder of the title. Currently, Mix is a moderate favorite to win with a moneyline at -230.

Sergio Pettis Betting Preview
Pettis has won his last six battles as he approaches this fight. His previous success was a unanimous decision over Patricio Freire back at Bellator 297 in June of this year.
He has accumulated 23 wins through four knockouts, four submissions, and 14 decisions. Six of those wins have ended in the first round and he has three of his five defeats coming by decision.
“The Phenom” has looked great since departing the UFC, where he went 9-5 against respectable competition. Since then, he has gone 5-0 against some of the toughest fighters in the division, as well as the recent win over current featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire.
He is currently the 27
th
-best bantamweight fighter according to worldwide rankings. He is also considered to be the 71
st
-best pound for pound fighter.
Patchy Mix Betting Preview
Mix returns to action seeking a belt and looking to extend his current five-fight win streak. His most recent victory was a first round knockout over second-ranked Raufeon Stots at Bellator 295 in April earlier this year.
He has put together 18 wins consisting of two knockouts, 12 submissions, and four decisions. Impressively, nine of his wins have resulted in first round finishes and his only defeat has been by decision.
Patchy has looked stellar in his recent performances since his loss, as he has defeated three consecutive top-five fighters in the division to earn a title shot. Overall, he has gone 7-1 in Bellator with a shot to become champion.
Looking at worldwide rankings, he is currently the 24
th
-best bantamweight and 91
st
-best pound for pound fighter. His aggressive ground game should play a role in this fight.
Odds, Series Trends and Free Pick
MyBookie is showing the latest odds for this fight, which reveal Patchy Mix as a moderate favorite to win. Bettors might want to include him in a parlay with fights on the night to potentially help increase his payout.
Sergio Pettis: +190
Patchy Mix: -230
Pettis' recent performance against Pitbull was the best of his career and nothing like we have seen from him on a consistent basis. In fact, he was able to outstrike Pitbull and keep a healthy mix of attacks to throw him off.
However, Mix is a different animal, especially on the ground. Look for Patchy to potentially win this one by a submission.
Spooky Express Pick: Patchy Mix to win at -230
