The Boston Celtics get set to take on the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday night inside the famed TD Garden in Boston, MA. They tip it off at 7:30pm. The Celtics have been one of the most impressive teams in the Eastern Conference this season and would love to make a statement against an injury-depleted team.  Bookmaker has installed the Celtics as a solid and heavy - 12.5 point favorite in this clash. 

The Celtics (45-12) have enjoyed a wonderful season and they are playing at a very high level and come into this game with a ton of confidence. They easily handled their rival in the New York Knicks over the weekend, 116-102, and really flexed their muscle in the win. 

Boston has two very good players in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, who are both playing at a very high level. They are both the faces of the franchise and both of them can easily score 25 plus points on any given night, Brown loves to get Tatum into the mix and can easily put the ball on the floor and go right to the rim. Tatum is great at creating his own shot and can score off the dribble as well. 

Boston has ripped off eight straight wins and 10 out of their last 12 overall as they sit an incredible 30 games over .500 on the season. Many have wondered if they can keep this pace up and handle the pressure down the stretch and that has yet to be seen. Boston connects on solid 47% from the floor, including a very impressive 32% from beyond the arc too. 

The 76ers (33-24) have dealt with a ton of injuries this season and they have had a tough time getting the right fit and players on the floor at the same time. They are a team in trouble as they have dropped three out of their last four games and are sliding back in the playoff seedings in the Eastern Conference. 

They are trying to win games without MVP and face of the franchise Joel Embiid, who is dealing with a bunch of injuries that have limited him to just 34 games. He remains out indefinitely due to an issue with his knee and the 76ers are praying and hoping they can get him back for a late-season return. 

He was averaging around 35 points a game and that is a huge chunk of the team's offense that is missing and needs to be addressed. Philadelphia does have a young emerging star in Tyrese Maxey who is having a breakout season as he is netting a career-high 25 points per contest but he can not do it all on his own. He needs assistance from his teammates and that includes the role players and guys coming off the bench. 

Philadelphia will have to win the battle on the glass and try to find a way to slow down the Celtics and not allow the 1-2 punch of Tatum and Brown push the pace and tempo.

Boston is 5-0 in their last five games and 3-1 in their last five games against the number and a solid 12-13 in their road games against the number.
