Williams, a 27-year-old southpaw, chose to face another prominent opponent to progress toward a title shot in his upcoming fights. This arguably sets him up better anyway, as he has a good opportunity to impress.

His most recent bout was an eighth-round knockout against River Wilson-Bent back in April of this year in London. This event was part of a DAZN telecast featuring Anthony Joshua's win over Jermaine Franklin, so he is used to fighting alongside other big names in the game.

He is currently ranked as the eighth best middleweight boxer in the world. This is a great opportunity to show off his skills and aim for a potential title fight down the line.

Canadian boxer Steve Rolls has an impressive record, consisting of 22 wins with 12 knockouts. He has only suffered defeats at the hands of Gennadiy Golovkin in June 2019 and then once again against unbeaten super middleweight Edgar Berlanga in March. Both of those fights occurred in Madison Square Garden and were above the 160-pound weight limit. 

Rolls was able to bounce back from his loss to Berlanga with a victorious ten-round points win over Shady Gamhour in Toronto in July 2021. Each time after his defeat, he has arguably become a better fighter in the process.

He has a little bit more experience in terms of how many rounds he has been a part of, with 132 under his belt compared to 62 of Williams’. However, he will need everything he can in order to potentially claim a victory.
