Location: T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada
Date: Saturday, September 30, 2023
Main Card: 11:00 PM ET
Watch on: Showtime
Elijah Garcia Betting Preview
Garcia (15-0, 12 KOs) is looking to extend his undefeated 15-fight win streak. His most recent success was a unanimous decision over Kevin Salgado Zambrano back in April of this year.
In 15 fights spanning 46 rounds, his knockout rate stands impressively at 80 percent. In the global rankings, he currently holds the 10
th
position worldwide and ranks third within the United States among middleweights.
He had previously taken care of business when he battled Amilcar Vidal in March of this year. This was a huge bump in his career outlook, as Vidal was the toughest fighter he had faced.
He finished that fight by the fourth round by knockout, which was one of the better fights on that particular card. The only one better than night was arguably Resendiz’s matchup.
Armando Resendiz Betting Preview
Resendiz (14-1, 10 KOs) is currently on a two-fight winning streak as he approaches this event. His previous encounter was a knockout win against Jarrett Hurd in March of this year.
He boasts a record of 15 matches and a total of 76 rounds under his belt, showcasing an impressive 71.4 percent knockout rate. His current standing places him at the 18
th
spot in the global middleweight rankings and secures his position as the top-rated middleweight from Mexico.
His win against Hurd was his best of his career so far, as he defeated a former 154-pound champion (IBF/IBO/WBA). This fight was right after Garcia’s in that event, which was the cherry on top for performances that were on display.
This will be another good test for him, as he is aiming to confuse climbing the rankings for this division. However, will he be able to pull it off after an excellent win recently?
Game Odds, Series Trends and Free Pick
Based on the most recent odds from MyBookie, it appears that Elijah Garcia holds a noteworthy advantage as a fighter in the approaching event. To enhance your chances of winning big, consider including Garcia in a parlay bet alongside other boxing bouts slated for the same evening.
Armando Resendiz: +290
Elijah Garcia: -400
Both Resendiz and Garcia have appealing resumes and rankings that could point to who will potentially win. This likely will not end early, unless Resendiz has a hard time defending.
Overall, Garcia is slightly more appealing on paper and should have a good opportunity to win. Look for him to win by decision.
Spooky Express Pick: Elijah Garcia to Win at -400
