The Brooklyn Nets will face the Chicago Bulls on Friday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. on a very heavy and entertaining night in the league. 

Bookmaker has installed the Bulls as a solid - 3.5-point favorite. 

The Nets have endured a brutal season and are counting down the days until the season ends. They have had issues on and off the court and have dealt with a ton of ill-timed injuries that have set the franchise back another season. They have been hard with the injury bug, and they thought they would be able to get something out of forward Ben Simmons, but that move has blown up in their faces. 

He has not been able to stay healthy at all, and even when he is on the floor, he is not the same player he was during his early years in the league. On offense, the Nets are led by shooting guard Cam Thomas, who has stepped up nicely this season.

He is averaging 21.8 points per game and just under four rebounds a contest for Brooklyn, which is almost 20 games under .500 on the season. This is not acceptable in a league where even bad teams can win some games. They have won two straight, though, including a tough win in overtime against the Washington Wizards the other night. 

Look for Thomas to pace them once again when it comes to scoring. 

The Bulls (35-38) could be a better team, but in the Eastern Conference, they are sitting on the cusp of a playoff spot. They are a young team, and they have had their moments of on-the-job training this season. 

They just snapped a three-game slide with a win over a decent Indiana Pacers team and will now look to make it two straight wins Friday night. They have some decent scorers on their team, including veteran and 34-year-old small forward and scorer DeMar DeRozan, who is netting around 23 for the Bulls. He is getting older but does not hesitate to take the big shot or get his teammates involved in the action. 

Chicago has seen him have big games against the Nets, as he is pumping in 25 a clip in his career against Brooklyn. The Bulls need that output in this one. Point guard Colby White has chipped in, too, with a solid campaign, scoring just under 20 a game in his fifth season with the Bulls. 

They connect 52% from the floor, including 35% from three-point land. 

The Nets are 2-3 in their last five games and 2-3 in their previous five games against the spread too. They are 13-25 in their road games against the number, and the totals have gone over in two out of their last five games and 18 out of their last 35 games at home. The Bulls are 2-3 in their previous five games and 1-4 in their last five games against the spread. They are also 18-16 in their road games against the number.
