February 9, 2024

The Charlotte Hornets will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to face the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum with the game scheduled to start at 8:00 PM ET on Friday night and will air on Bally Sports Charlotte and Bally Sports Wisconsin.

The Charlotte Hornets have been one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference this season as they enter this game with a record of 10-40 which gives them the 3rd worst record in the conference and are on a nine-game losing streak following Wednesday’s 117-123 loss at home against the Toronto Raptors. Charlotte has been one of the worst teams offensively and defensively this season as they are averaging the 3rd fewest points per game with an average of 108.7 points per game while allowing the 6th most points per game with an average of 120.4 points allowed per game.

LaMelo Ball has been one of the better players on the team when healthy as he is averaging 23.9 points and 8 assists per game, however, he has missed the previous seven games for the Hornets and will not be in the lineup against the Bucks as he is not expected to return to the lineup until at least Saturday after suffering an ankle injury. The Charlotte Hornets will look to end their nine-game losing streak when they travel to face the Milwaukee Bucks.

Milwaukee enters this game with the 3rd best record in the Eastern Conference at 33-19, however, they are on a three-game losing streak following a 105-129 blowout loss at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday. Damian Lillard has missed two of those games but will be a game-time decision in the game against the Hornets. Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo have led the team to being one of the highest-scoring teams in the NBA this season as they have combined for 56.2 points and 13.1 assists per game.

The Bucks enter this game averaging the 2nd most points per game in the NBA with an average of 123.21 points per game, however, because they play at a faster tempo than the average team in the NBA it leaves them vulnerable defensively and are allowing the 7th most points per game in the league with an average of 119.82 points allowed per game. The Milwaukee Bucks will look to end their three-game losing streak when they host the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night.
