Do not miss the Tennessee Titans vs. Chicago Bears showdown for your next NFL betting opportunity on Saturday, September 8, at 1:00 PM ET at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. The Bears have a home advantage and are favored with a point spread at -3.5 (-110).
The Titans went 6-11 and finished last in the AFC South. This was a slightly negative performance from the year prior, so more pressure will be on this year to improve.
Brian Callahan will take over as the squad's new head coach. Callahan was previously part of the Cincinnati Bengals as their offensive coordinator, so this should help boost their playmaking scenarios. Will Levis remains the starter at quarterback, and will have some weapons this season to potentially have better opportunities.
They added some pivotal talent at wide receiver, signing on Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd. They also added running back Tony Pollard and Lloyd Cushenberry at the center of their offensive line.
Last season, the Titans averaged 17.9 points per game, ranking 27th in the league, making this a much-needed area of improvement. Their defense could use some depth, too, as they allowed opponents to average 21.6 points per game, ranking 16th.
The Bears went 7-10 last season and finished third in the NFC North. This more than doubled their win output from the previous season, so a lot of positive momentum is expected for this season.
Caleb Williams will have the keys right away to push this offense. As a rookie, much pressure is on his plate to perform as a quarterback, but he looked good in the preseason. He has weapons with several receivers to make plays with, but the offensive line is the biggest problem overall.
Their defense improved as the year passed, and now has a foundation with Montez Sweat. If this unit can provide similar results as they did for the second half of last season, they are likely near a top-10 defensive rating.
The Bears put together 21.2 points per game and ranked 18th. The defense allowed 22.3 points a game and ranked 20th, which gained severe momentum to push this average to where it was.
MyBookie showcases the NFL betting odds in the Tennessee Titans vs. Chicago Bears matchup, which favors the Bears. Odds show the Bears as 3.5-point favorites in their home stadium.
Furthermore, market research indicates the Bears have a 62.8 percent likelihood of winning outright. However, rookie quarterbacks have the worst record in landing wins for their opener, and it may take some experience to see how well this team does. The pieces are there, but look for the Titans to cover.
