The Cleveland Browns (0-2) will seek their first win of the preseason against the Seattle Seahawks (1-1) when they face off at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, on Saturday, August 24, at 10:00 PM ET. The Browns are favored to succeed with a point spread of -1.5 (-105).
The Browns do not necessarily have to win here to have a successful regular season, but some positive momentum would help. Their most recent defeat was a 27-12 battle against the Minnesota Vikings.
Tyler Huntley had a solid performance but two interceptions that cost them valuable opportunities down the stretch. He completed 14 out of 20 passes and even led them in rushing yards with four carries, which totaled 19 yards.
The offense will need to improve tremendously to have a shot at winning. They have scored 22 points total, which averages 11.0 points a game. This will simply not get it done, even by NFL preseason standards.
The defense has also been lackluster, allowing 50 points. This is 25.0 points per game, and they will be tested once again.
The Seahawks have been appealing in their first two weeks of preseason battles. Their most recent experience was a 16-15 defeat against the Tennessee Titans. They had a 12-7 lead at the half but could not accumulate enough in the fourth quarter.
Sam Howell threw a touchdown and completed 11 of his 14 pass attempts. Easop Winston Jr. led them with three receptions, 47 yards, and a touchdown. Later, the problem was that the team could not land first downs when needed.
Offensively, they looked great in the first half. They will likely switch up various positions here to rest starters and make final adjustments moving forward. So far, they have averaged 15.5 points a game.
The Seahawks' defense has allowed 19 points, which comes down to 9.5 points per game. This will be huge if they can slow down the Browns so that they do not have any positive momentum.
MyBookie gives you appealing NFL preseason betting opportunities for the Cleveland Browns vs. Seattle Seahawks showdown, with odds showing the Browns as 1.5-point favorites. Can they make the final adjustments here to end the preseason well?
The Browns have failed to score barely above double digits and have allowed over 20 points in each game so far. The Seahawks have kept games close and have looked appealing on both sides of the ball. Look for the Seahawks to cover the spread.
