Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Milwaukee Bucks

January 24, 2024

The Cleveland Cavaliers will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to face the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum with tip-off scheduled for 8:00 PM ET on Wednesday night and will air on Bally Sports Ohio and Bally Sports Wisconsin.

The Cavaliers have been one of the hotter teams in the NBA as they enter this game on an eight-game winning streak which has improved their record to 26-15 and puts them in 4th place in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland has been a below-average team offensively as they enter this game averaging 114 points per game which is below the league average of 115.49 points per game.

Defensively, the Cavaliers are the 2nd best defensive team in the league as they are allowing an average of 109.68 points per game. Donovan Mitchell has been one of the better players on the team and leads the team in scoring, assists, and steals with an average of 27.8 points, 6.1 assists, and 1.97 steals per game. The Cleveland Cavaliers will look to extend their winning streak to nine games when they travel to face the Milwaukee Bucks.

In a surprise move, the team with the 2nd best record in the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks fired their head coach, Adrian Griffin, on Tuesday afternoon. Milwaukee has a record of 30-13 and is on a two-game winning streak following Monday’s 122-113 win on the road against the Detroit Pistons. The Bucks have been the 2nd highest-scoring team in the NBA as they enter this game averaging 124.56 points per game.

They play at a faster tempo than the majority of teams in the league, which leads them to allow the 6th most points per game with an average of 120.47 points allowed per game. Giannis Antetokounmpo enters this game averaging a double-double with 31.2 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while also leading the team in steals with an average of 1.37 steals per game. The Milwaukee Bucks will look to extend their winning streak to three games when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.

BookMaker has the Milwaukee Bucks listed as 6.5-point favorites at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. Cleveland has won six of the last ten and two of the previous three meetings. The Cavaliers are 7-3 ATS in the last ten and have covered the spread in two of the last three games in the series. The Cleveland Cavaliers are 22-17-2 ATS overall, 10-7-1 ATS on the road, and 7-8 ATS as an underdog this season while the Milwaukee Bucks are 16-26-1 ATS overall, 8-13-1 ATS at home, and 15-25-1 ATS as a favorite on the year.

Milwaukee has the 2nd best record while Cleveland has the 4th best record in the Eastern Conference, however, Cleveland has been the better team in the series, winning six of the last ten and two of the last three matchups. The Cavaliers are 7-3 ATS in the last ten and 2-1 ATS in the last three games in the series while having been the better team at covering the spread this season with a record of 22-17-2 ATS overall and 10-7-1 ATS on the road while the Bucks are 16-26-1 ATS overall and 8-13-1 ATS at home.
