Arguably the best game in the ACC/SEC Challenge will take place on Wednesday evening when the 10^th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers travel to Chapel Hill, North Carolina at the Dean E. Smith Center with the game scheduled to start at 7:15 PM ET and will air on ESPN.

The Tennessee Volunteers enter this game ranked 10^th in the AP Poll and 11^th in the Coaches Poll with a record of 4-2, however, the Volunteers are on a two-game losing streak following losses in the 2^nd and 3^rd round of the Maui Invitational with losses against the Purdue Boilermakers by a score of 67-71 and the Kansas Jayhawks by a score of 60-69. The early success for Tennessee this season can be attributed to their defense as they enter this game allowing an average of 61.5 points per game while also having an above-average scoring offense as they enter this game averaging 73.67 points per game. Dalton Knecht has played a pivotal role in the success the offense has had this season as he leads the team in scoring with an average of 17.5 points per game. Tennessee will be looking to end their two-game losing streak when they travel to face the North Carolina Tar Heels.

The North Carolina Tar Heels enter this game ranked 17^th in the AP Poll and 16^th in the Coaches Poll with a record of 5-1. Their lone loss came in the Semifinals of the Battle 4 Atlantis in overtime against the Villanova Wildcats by a score of 81-83, however, the Tar Heels won in the 3^rd place games against the Arkansas Razorbacks by a score of 87-72. North Carolina has been one of the highest-scoring teams in college basketball this season as they are averaging 85.33 points per game. RJ Davis and Armando Bacot have been the two main scoring options for the North Carolina Tar Heels as they have combined for an average of 34 points per game this season Bacot leads the team in rebounds as well with an average of 11.7 rebounds per game. 

BookMaker has the North Carolina Tar Heels listed as 2-point favorites at home against the Tennessee Volunteers on Wednesday evening. North Carolina has won four of the last five and two of the last three meetings. The Tar Heels are 3-2 ATS in the last five while the Volunteers are 2-1 ATS in the last three games in the series. The Tennessee Volunteers are 3-3 ATS overall, 1-0 ATS on the road, and 0-2 ATS as an underdog this season while the North Carolina Tar Heels are 3-3 ATS overall, 1-2 ATS at home, and 3-3 ATS as a favorite on the year.

Tennessee enters this game as the higher-ranked team, however, North Carolina has been the better team in the series as they have won four of the last five and two of the last three games. The Tar Heels have also been the better team overall at covering the spread in the series going 3-2 ATS in the last five. The Volunteers have not covered the spread this season as an underdog as they are 0-2 ATS as an underdog which is why I am laying the points with the North Carolina Tar Heels when they host the Tennessee Volunteers.
