The LSU Tigers will travel to Syracuse, New York to face the Syracuse Orange at the JMA Wireless Dome on Tuesday evening with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET and the game will air on ESPN 2.

After starting the season off 1-2, the LSU Tigers have won three in a row including a 75-63 win at home against the North Florida Ospreys on Friday. LSU already has won one game against an ACC opponent which came on the road against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in which they won by a score of 86-80 in overtime. 

The defense for the Tigers has been one of the reasons for their success this season as they are allowing an average of 67.17 points per game while also being a slightly above-average scoring team as they are averaging 77.67 points per game. Will Baker has been one of the main catalysts for the success that LSU has had this season as he leads the team in scoring and rebounds with an average of 16.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. The Tigers will look to extend their winning streak to four games when they travel to face the Syracuse Orange.

The Syracuse Orange enter this game with an identical record as the LSU Tigers with a record of 4-2 with both of their losses coming in the Maui Invitational against two Top 25 teams with a loss in the 1^st round against the Tennessee Volunteers by a score of 56-73 and in the 2^nd round against the Gonzaga Bulldogs by a score of 57-76, however, they finished the tournament with a win against the Chaminade Silverswords by a score of 105-56. 

However, all four of the wins for the Orange have come against inferior opponents with wins at home against the New Hampshire Wildcats by a score of 83-72, the Canisius Golden Griffins by a score of 89-77, the Colgate Raiders by a score of 79-75, and in the Maui Invitational against the Chaminade Silverswords. They will have another tough test on Tuesday evening when they face the LSU Tigers in the ACC vs SEC Challenge. 

BookMaker has the Syracuse Orange listed as 1-point favorites at home against the LSU Tigers in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Tuesday evening. This will be the first time in the history of these two programs that they will face each other in college basketball. The LSU Tigers are 3-3 ATS overall and 1-1 ATS as an underdog this season while the Syracuse Orange are 1-5 ATS overall, 0-3 ATS at home, and 1-3 ATS as a favorite on the year.

Both teams enter this game with identical records of 4-2 while Syracuse has faced tougher competition since they played in the Maui Invitational, however, the Orange were blown out by their two toughest opponents this season with a 17-point loss against Tennessee and a 19-point loss against the Gonzaga Bulldogs. The Orange have also struggled to cover the spread this season as they are 1-5 ATS overall and have not covered the spread in any of their home games this season as they are 0-3 ATS at home. I look for those trends to continue which is why I am taking the point with the LSU Tigers when they travel to face the Syracuse Orange.
