College Football Betting Preview: Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Missouri Tigers

November 24, 2023

The 9th-ranked Missouri Tigers will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas to face the Arkansas Razorbacks at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Friday afternoon in week 13 of the college football season with the game kicking off at 4:00 PM ET and will air on CBS.

Despite not winning the SEC East this season following a loss to the Georgia Bulldogs by a score of 21-30 and the LSU Tigers by a score of 39-49, the Missouri Tigers are having one of the best seasons they have had in school history as they enter this game in 2nd place in the SEC East with a record of 9-2 and are 5-2 in the SEC. Missouri enters this game on a two-game winning streak following a 33-31 win at home against the Florida Gators on Saturday. The success the Tigers have had this season can be attributed to their passing offense and Brady Cook who has had one of the best seasons in the SEC this year having completed 220 of 328 attempts for 3,070 yards with 18 touchdowns and six interceptions while rushing for 239 yards and seven touchdowns which has led the the Missouri Tigers being one of the highest-scoring teams in college football as they are averaging 32.82 points per game. The Missouri Tigers will look to make it three wins in a row and to get their 10th win this season when they travel to face the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Despite having one of the worst records in the SEC with a record of 4-7 overall and 1-6 in conference play, the Arkansas Razorbacks have already announced they will be keeping Sam Pittman as their head coach for the 2024 college football season. KJ Jefferson has been one of the only bright spots the Razorbacks have had this season as he leads the team in passing and rushing with 2,105 passing yards with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions while rushing for 432 yards and two touchdowns. However, they have been a below-average scoring team as they enter this game averaging 27.73 points per game while allowing 26.09 points per game. The Razorbacks will look to end the season on a two-game winning streak when they host the Missouri Tigers on Friday afternoon.

BookMaker has the Missouri Tigers listed as 7.5-point favorites on the road against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Friday afternoon in week 13 of the college football season. Missouri has won eight of the last ten and two of the last three meetings. Both teams are 5-5 ATS in the last ten while the Razorbacks are 2-1 ATS in the last three games in the series. The Missouri Tigers are 7-4 ATS overall, 3-0 ATS on the road, 3-3 ATS as a favorite, and 5-2 ATS in conference games this season while the Arkansas Razorbacks are 5-6 ATS overall, 4-0 ATS 1-6 ATS at home, 4-1 ATS as an underdog, and 4-3 ATS in conference games on the year.

Missouri has been one of the best teams in the SEC and has dominated the series against Arkansas winning eight of the last ten meetings. The Tigers are also one of the best teams at covering the spread in the conference as they are 5-2 ATS in conference games and have covered the spread in all of their road games going 3-0 ATS on the road which is why I am buying the .5 point and laying the points with the Missouri Tigers when they travel to face the Arkansas Razorbacks in this SEC matchup.
