A matchup between two MAC teams will occur on Wednesday night when the Central Michigan Chippewas travel to Athens, Ohio to face the Ohio Bobcats at Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium with the game scheduled to start at 7:00 PM ET and will air on ESPNU in week 12 of the college football season.

Central Michigan will need to win one of their final two games this season to become bowl eligible, however, they will be playing against two of the best teams in the conference over the next two weeks as they will face the Ohio Bobcats on the road this week and then the Toledo Rockets in the final regular season game at home. The Chippewas have alternated wins and losses over their previous six games and are coming off a 28-38 loss on the road against their in-state rival, the Western Michigan Broncos, last week while failing to cover the 3-point spread as a road underdog which dropped their record of 5-5 which includes a 3-3 record in the MAC Conference and puts them in a tie for 2^nd place in the West Division. Things won’t be any easier this week when they travel to face the Ohio Bobcats on Wednesday night.

The Ohio Bobcats are still alive for a spot in the MAC Championship game, however, they will need to win out and have the Miami Ohio RedHawks lose their two remaining games as the Bobcats trail the Miami Ohio RedHawks by a game and lost to the RedHawks by a score of 16-30 earlier in the season. The Bobcats enter this game with a record of 7-3 and are tied for 2^nd place in the East Division of the MAC Conference with the Bowling Green Falcons with a record of 4-2 in their conference games, however, they hold the tie-breaker over the Falcons as they defeated Bowling Green by a score of 38-7 earlier this season. The Bobcats have already qualified for a bowl game this season for the 2^nd consecutive season. They will be in a battle this week against a team that is in desperate need of a win to qualify for a bowl game when they host the Central Michigan Chippewas.

Central Michigan has won nine of the last ten including the previous six meetings while going 7-3 ATS in the last ten and 2-1 ATS in the last three games in the series. The Central Michigan Chippewas are 3-7 ATS overall, 2-4 ATS on the road, 3-2 ATS as an underdog, and 1-5 ATS in conference games this season while the Ohio Bobcats are 5-5 ATS overall, 2-3 ATS at home, 3-4 ATS as a favorite, and 3-3 ATS in conference games on the year.

Ohio is the more talented team this season, however, Central Michigan has dominated the series over the last ten games winning nine of the previous ten including the previous six matchups.
