The Duke Blue Devils enter this game ranked 20

in the Coaches Poll with a record of 5-2 following a 20-38 loss on the road against the Florida State Seminoles while failing to cover the 14-point spread as a road underdog in week 8 of the college football season. Duke scored 20 points while compiling a total of 273 yards offensively which included 76 passing yards and 197 rushing yards while allowing 38 points and 420 total yards defensively which included 268 passing yards and 152 rushing yards. Louisville enters this game ranked 18
th
in the AP Poll and 18
th
in the Coaches Poll with a record of 6-1 following a 21-38 loss on the road against the Pittsburgh Panthers while failing to cover the 7-point spread as a road favorite in week 7 of the college football season. The Cardinals scored 21 points while compiling a total of 416 yards offensively which included 336 passing yards and 80 rushing yards while allowing 38 points and 288 total yards defensively which included 200 passing yards and 88 rushing yards. Jack Plummer led the team in passing, completing 29 of 52 attempts for 350 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Maurice Turner led the team in rushing with 12 carries for 81 yards. Jamari Thrash led the team in receiving, catching nine of 17 targets for 120 yards.
BookMaker has the Louisville Cardinals listed as 4.5-point favorites at home against the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday afternoon in week 9 of the college football season. Louisville has won all three games all-time in the series and has won by an average margin of 29 points per game while going 2-1 ATS in those matchups. The Duke Blue Devils are 4-3 ATS overall, 1-1 ATS on the road, 1-2 ATS as an underdog, and 2-1 ATS in conference games this season while the Louisville Cardinals are 3-4 ATS overall, 3-0 ATS at home, 2-4 ATS as a favorite, and 1-3 ATS in conference games on the year.
Both teams are two of the better teams in the ACC, however, Louisville has won all three games all-time in the series and has been the better team at covering the spread in the series as well going 2-1 ATS all-time. The Cardinals have also covered the spread in all three of their home games this season which is why I am buying the .5 point and laying the points with the Louisville Cardinals when they host the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday afternoon.
Spooky Express Pick: Louisville Cardinals -4
