If it wasn’t for the Colorado Buffaloes, the Duke Blue Devils would be this year’s surprise team as they have started the season off 3-0 which started in week 1 with their win over the Clemson Tigers. 

This week they will travel to take on the UConn Huskies, who much like last season, have gotten off to a rough start to the season at 0-3. Will the Blue Devils win in a rout on the road to improve to 4-0 for the first time since the 2018 college football season or will the Huskies keep the game closer than Vegas projects? Let’s take a look at how these teams have fared this season.

The Duke Blue Devils enter this game ranked 18^th in the AP Poll and 18^th in the Coaches Poll with a record of 3-0 following a 38-14 win at home against the Northwestern Wildcats while covering the 17-point spread as a home favorite in week 3 of the college football season. Duke scored 38 points while compiling 487 total yards offensively which included 219 passing yards and 268 rushing yards while allowing 14 points and 267 total yards defensively which included 163 passing yards and 104 rushing yards. Riley Leonard led the team in passing, completing 15 of 20 attempts for 219 yards while also leading the team in rushing with 97 yards and two touchdowns. The Huskies scored 17 points while compiling 343 total yards offensively which included 170 passing yards and 173 rushing yards while allowing 24 points and 364 total yards defensively which included 284 passing yards and 80 rushing yards. Ta’Quan Roberson led the team in passing, completing 15 of 32 attempts for 170 yards and a touchdown while rushing for eight yards. Devontae Houston led the team in rushing with 19 carries for 126 yards while adding a reception for 37 yards and a touchdown. Brett Buckman led the team in receiving, catching five of nine targets for 62 yards.
