Make sure you have your popcorn ready for this game as it is the only game this weekend to feature two teams ranked in the top 10 when the LSU Tigers travel to Orlando to take on the Florida State Seminoles in what should be a competitive game and could set the tone for a National Championship season for both schools.

The LSU Tigers finished last season with a record of 9-3 in the regular season with one of the losses coming in the season opener against the Florida State Seminoles by a score of 23-24 and had an SEC record of 6-2 which led to an appearance in the SEC Championship game after winning the tie-breaker with a win against the Alabama Crimson Tide. 

However, the Tigers lost to the eventual National Champion, Georgia Bulldogs, by a score of 30-50 before finishing with a blowout win against the Purdue Boilermakers by a score of 63-7 in the Citrus Bowl. This season the Tigers enter the year with an over/under win total of 9.5 wins and based on Vegas odds are projected to be the 3^rd best team in the SEC behind the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide while also having the 5^th best odds to win the National Championship behind the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan Wolverines, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

The Florida State Seminoles finished with a winning record for the first time since the 2019 college football season with a record of 10-3 and an ACC record of 5-3 which led to a 2^nd place finish in the Atlantic Division of the ACC and an appearance in the Cheez-It Bowl against the Oklahoma Sooners in which the Seminoles won by a score of 35-32 and finished ranked 10^th in the Coaches Poll and 11^th in the AP Poll. 

This season the Seminoles enter the year ranked 8^th in the AP Poll and 8^th in the Coaches Poll with an over/under win total of 9.5 wins and based on Vegas odds are projected to be the 2^nd best team in the ACC only behind the Clemson Tigers while having the 8^th best odds to win the National Championship.

Florida State won the only other time these teams played each other in college football which happened last season in which they won by a score of 24-23 while also covering the spread.

LSU is the more talented team this season and could be a dark horse pick to win the National Championship this season as the Tigers are one of the most experienced teams in college football this season.
