This Saturday afternoon, we have a matchup featuring the #1 team in the country in action as the Georgia Bulldogs will host the Ball State Cardinals.  This game gets started at noon on Saturday and can be seen on the SEC-Network. 

The Ball State Cardinals started the 2023 college football season off with a loss on the road against the Kentucky Wildcats by a score of 14-44 and failed to cover as a 25-point underdog. Ball State scored 14 points while compiling 295 total yards offensively which included 223 passing yards and 72 rushing yards while allowing 44 points and 357 total yards defensively which included 241 passing yards and 116 rushing yards. 

Kadin Semonza led the team in passing completing 15 of 21 attempts for 165 yards and a touchdown. Marquez Cooper led the team in rushing with 15 carries for 33 yards while adding one reception for eight yards. Ty Robinson led the team in receiving catching five of seven targets for 90 yards and a touchdown.

The reigning National Champion, Georgia Bulldogs, had no trouble in week 1 against the UT-Martin Skyhawks at home as they defeated the Skyhawks by a score of 48-7, however, the Bulldogs failed to cover the spread as a 50-point favorite at home. The Bulldogs scored 48 points while compiling 559 total yards offensively which included 400 passing yards and 159 rushing yards while allowing 7 points and 260 total yards defensively which included 128 passing yards and 132 rushing yards. Carson Beck led the team in passing completing 21 of 31 attempts for 294 yards and a touchdown while adding 12 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground. 

Kendall Milton led the team in rushing with nine carries for 53 yards. Brock Bowers led the team in receiving, catching all five targets for 77 yards while adding three yards rushing and a rushing touchdown.
