The reigning National Champion, Georgia Bulldogs, had no trouble in week 1 against the UT-Martin Skyhawks at home as they defeated the Skyhawks by a score of 48-7, however, the Bulldogs failed to cover the spread as a 50-point favorite at home. The Bulldogs scored 48 points while compiling 559 total yards offensively which included 400 passing yards and 159 rushing yards while allowing 7 points and 260 total yards defensively which included 128 passing yards and 132 rushing yards. BookMaker has the Georgia Bulldogs listed as 42-point favorites at home against the Ball State Cardinals on Saturday afternoon in week 2 of the college football season. This will be the first time in the history of these two programs that they will face each other in college football. Ball State is 0-1 ATS overall, 0-1 ATS on the road, and 0-1 ATS as an underdog this season after finishing last year with a record of 6-6 ATS overall, 4-2 ATS on the road, and 5-4 ATS as an underdog while Georgia is 0-1 ATS overall, 0-1 ATS at home, and 0-1 ATS as a favorite this season after finishing last season 8-7 ATS overall, 3-3 ATS at home, and 8-7 ATS as a favorite.
Georgia is the superior team in this matchup as the Bulldogs have the best odds of winning a National Championship while Ball State entered the season with an over/under win total of 5 wins. Neither team covered their spread in week 1 of the college football season with Ball State failing to cover the spread as a 25-point underdog while Georgia failed to cover as a 50-point favorite.
42 points is a lot of points to give up even at home and as the best team in college football which is why I am taking the Ball State Cardinals +42 on Saturday in week 2 of the college football season against the Georgia Bulldogs on BookMaker.
