Georgia enters this game ranked 1st in the AP Poll and 1st in the Coaches Poll with a record of 8-0 following a 43-20 win against the Florida Gators while covering the 14-point spread as a favorite in week 9 of the college football season. The Bulldogs scored 43 points while compiling a total of 486 yards offensively which included 315 passing yards and 171 rushing yards while allowing 20 points and 339 total yards defensively which included 230 passing yards and 109 rushing yards. Carson Beck led the team in passing, completing 19 of 28 attempts for 315 yards and two touchdowns while adding 11 rushing yards on four attempts. Daijun Edwards led the team in rushing with 16 carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns while adding a reception for three yards.
