A pair of Big Ten East teams will face off against each other on Friday afternoon when the 16^th-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes travel to Lincoln, Nebraska to face the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Tom Osborne Field at Memorial Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 12:00 PM ET and the game will air on CBS.

The Iowa Hawkeyes have already been crowned Big Ten East division champions and will face the winner of the Michigan/Ohio State game in the Big Ten Championship game in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 2^nd. The Hawkeyes are also looking for their 10^th win this season which would also be their 2^nd 10-win season in the last three seasons as they enter this game with a record of 9-2 which includes a record of 6-2 in the Big Ten Conference. The defense for the Hawkeyes has been one of the contributing factors for their success this season as they enter this matchup allowing the 3^rd fewest points per game in college football with an average of 12.36 points allowed per game. 

Matt Rhule will be looking to get the Nebraska Cornhuskers bowl-eligible in his first season as head coach and will need to beat the division champions to get the Cornhuskers bowl-eligible for the first time since the 2016 college football season. Nebraska enters this game with a record of 5-6 and has a record of 3-5 in the Big Ten, however, they are on a three-game losing streak following last week’s 17-24 overtime loss on the road against the Wisconsin Badgers. The defense remains a solid unit, however, the offense has struggled during the losing streak as they have only averaged 14.67 points per game during the streak. Nebraska’s scoring defense has been one of the best in college football as they are allowing an average of 18.73 points per game and will be facing one of the lowest-scoring teams in the conference when they host the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday afternoon.
