BookMaker has the New Mexico State Aggies listed as 2.5-point favorites on the road against the UTEP Miners on Wednesday night in week 8 of the college football season. UTEP has won seven of the last ten and two of the last three games in the series while both teams are 5-5 ATS in the last ten and the Aggies are 2-1 ATS in the last three meetings. New Mexico State is 4-2-1 ATS overall, 1-1-1 ATS on the road, 3-1 ATS as a favorite, and 2-1 ATS in conference games this season while the UTEP Miners are 2-5 ATS overall, 1-2 ATS at home, 1-3 ATS as an underdog, and 2-1 ATS in conference games on the year.

New Mexico State has looked like the better team this season as they enter this game with a record of 4-3 while UTEP enters this game with a record of 2-4. The Aggies have been the better team at covering the spread most recently in the series, going 2-1 ATS in the last three contests while also being the better team this season at covering the spread going 4-2-1 ATS overall while the Miners are 2-5 ATS overall. I look for those trends to continue which is why I am buying the .5 point and taking the New Mexico State Aggies -2 when they travel to take on their conference rival on Wednesday night.
