One of the oldest rivalries in college football will take place on Saturday evening when the 18^th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish travel to Stanford, California to face the Stanford Cardinals at Stanford Stadium for the Legends Trophy in week 13 of the college football season with the game kicking off at 7:00 PM ET and will air on the Pac-12 Network.

Notre Dame enters this game having won three of their last four games including a 45-7 win at home against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday. Sam Hartman has played a role in the success the offense has had as they enter this game averaging 37.55 points per game which ranks 14^th in college football while Sam Hartman has the passing offense averaging 247.91 points per game and has completed 183 of 287 attempts for 2,549 yards with 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions. The Fighting Irish still have a chance to get to ten wins with a win this week against Stanford and in their bowl game.

The Stanford Cardinals enter this game in 11^th place in the Pac-12 with a record of 3-8 which means they will miss a bowl game for the 4^th season in a row. The Cardinals are on a two-game losing streak and have lost four of their last five games following a 15-27 loss at home against the Cal Bears last week.
