-ranked Texas Longhorns travel to Ames, Iowa to face the Iowa State Cyclones at Jack Trice Stadium with the game scheduled to start at 8:00 PM ET on Saturday night.

place in the Big 12 with an overall record of 9-1 which includes a record of 6-1 in Big 12 conference play and are on a four-game winning streak since losing in the “Red River Rivalry” against the Oklahoma Sooners by a score of 30-34, however, their last two games have been decided by a combined 6 points which includes last week’s win on the road against the TCU Horned Frogs by a score of 29-26. The offense for the Longhorns has been one of the pivotal factors for the success that they have had this season as they enter this game averaging 33.8 points per game, however, their defense has struggled over their last two games as they are allowing an average of 28 points per game. Quinn Ewers has also played a role in the success that Texas has had this season as he enters this game completing 173 of 246 attempts for 2,232 yards with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions while rushing for five touchdowns.
After missing a bowl game last season with a record of 4-8, the Iowa State Cyclones have been one of the most improved teams in the Big 12 this season as they enter this game with a record of 6-4 which includes a record of 5-2 and after starting the season off 1-2 the Cyclones have won five of their last seven games including last week’s 45-13 win on the road against the BYU Cougars to get them to six wins and qualify for a bowl game. However, the next two games will be tough for Iowa State as they will be underdogs in both games including this week when they host the Texas Longhorns on Saturday night.
