The Vanderbilt Commodores (2-0) seek their third win in a row against a hungry Wake Forest Demon Deacons (1-0). Can the Demon Deacons cover the spread at home?

The Commodores are coming off of an excellent showing against the Alabama A&M Bulldogs. This was a 47-13 victory, which was much better than their previous seven point win against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.

They will bring a much better passing game to the table against the Commodores. Although they did not run the ball aggressively, they could use it at times to utilize their strong passing attack.

If the Demon Deacons remain aggressive early, this could lead to a nice advantage going into halftime. However, they need to avoid careless turnovers if they want to be successful.

MyBookie's latest odds show that the Wake Forest Demon Deacons are heavy favorites to win. Looking at the market analysis, the Demon Deacons have a 75.8 percent chance to be victorious at home.

The Commodores have looked good enough against teams they are supposed to win against. This is a team that went 5-7 overall last year, versus a 8-5 Wake Forest last year.

Vandy’s defense will not be able to slow down the Demon Deacons enough to make this in their favor. The running game should be solid on both sides, with a slight advantage to the Demon Deacons. Look for them to win the game and potentially cover the spread.
