Virginia Tech Hokies Betting Preview

The Hokies kicked their season off with a close 16-10 lead against the Old Dominion Monarchs but eventually won 36-17. Quarterback Grant Wells threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns, with two coming to Ali Jennings.

Against the Purdue Boilermakers, it was tied 17-17 in the fourth quarter, but they eventually could not keep up and lost 24-17. Wells went on to have 243 yards, two touchdowns, and two game-changing interceptions. Daequan Wright did his job with 77 receiving yards and Malachi Thomas led in rushing with 18 yards.

For scoring, they are averaging 26.5 points per game and are allowing 20.5. This is a decent margin, but something they will need to improve upon if they want to be successful.

They finished at the bottom of the ACC last season with a 3-8 record. They also only won one game on the road, which they have an opportunity to tie with now.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights Betting Preview

In their first game of the season, the Scarlet Knights shut out the Northwestern Wildcats for three quarters, and then went on to win 24-7. They had solid offensive performances all around as Quarterback Gavin Wimsatt threw for 163 yards, Kyle Monangai rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown, and Isaiah Washington had four catches for 36 yards.

Against the Temple Owls last weekend, they led 13-0 entering the final quarter but ended with a 36-7 blowout victory. Wimsatt threw for 198 yards and a score, Monangai was able to rush for 165 yards and a touchdown, and JaQuae Jackson led with 95 receiving yards off of four receptions.

They have been able to score 30 points per game and have only allowed seven each time. This is a great margin if they can continue this energy.

Last season, the Scarlet Knights were last in the Big Ten East conference with a 4-8 record. Their season is shaping up to be a decent improvement, assuming they take care of business here.
