Week six of Dana White's Contender Series will showcase some excellent betting opportunities. One of these options to consider is the bantamweight battle between Jean Masumoto and Kasey Tanner.

Matsumoto has been perfect through 13 professional battles. His previous successful bout was a second-round guillotine choke submission against Marlon Basilio de Oliveira at Legacy Fighting Alliance 154 in March of this year. 

Out of his 13 wins, they feature three knockouts, five submissions, and five decisions. So far, he has two wins that have resulted in first-round finishes. Despite not having that many first-round wins, he still is a threat within that first round.

He has moved around plenty of fighting organizations throughout the years. He has gone 2-0 in LFA, 4-0 in Standout Fighting Tournament, and 3-0 in Batalha MMA. This shows he has battled just about every quality matchup he could possibly have within those organizations.

Matsumoto is considered to be the fifth best professional bantamweight fighter in Brazil. His abilities will be out to the test, especially since he has a handful of easier bouts on his resume.

Tanner has strung together five straight battles to start his career. His most recent victory was a first-round TKO against Tristan Lindi at LFA 124 back in February of last year.

His five wins so far include two knockouts, two submissions, and one decision. Only one of his victories has resulted as a first round finish.

This will be the toughest test of his career, as he has mostly battled opponents without a win or they had a .500 resume. He has gone 1-0 in the LFA, but this was against a losing record opponent.

Tanner is actively considered as the 129^th best bantamweight fighter in the United States. This will be put on trial as he aims to impress in front of UFC contenders. However, his resume has been fairly weak and will need to stand out among his competitors if he wants to succeed.
