September 26, 2023
Prepare for an electrifying clash as Victor Hugo Madrigal and Vinicius de Oliveira face off in an explosive bantamweight showdown scheduled for Week 8 of Dana White's Contender Series. Will Oliveira dazzle the audience, or can Madrigal pull off a surprising victory?

Date: Tuesday, September 26, 2023
Main Card: 8:00 PM ET
Watch on: ESPN+
Victor Hugo Madrigal Betting Preview
Madrigal is looking to extend his three-fight winning streak with another key battle here. His most recent success was a second round rear-naked choke submission against Jose Alberto Quinonez back in April of this year at the Budo Sento Championship 14.
Analyzing his path to 15 victories, he has adeptly orchestrated seven knockout wins, achieved five victories through submissions, and secured three wins by decision. It is worth mentioning that he has clinched four first-round finishes out of his 15 wins, and, interestingly, three out of his four losses resulted from decisions.
“Periquito” has had battles against solid competitors throughout his career. Notably, he has gone 2-3 in Combate Americas and 3-0 in BSC, which has given him some positive feedback to improve for this upcoming bout.
He is considered to be the best overall bantamweight fighter out of Mexico, but will put that to the test in this fight. If he can remain aggressive early, he has a shot to win.
Vinicius de Oliveira Betting Preview
Oliveira returns to fighting after a recent victory against Hikaru Yoshino, which was a first round TKO back at UAE Warriors 39 in March of this year. This put him back on the right path after a third round knockout defeat to Ali Taleb in July of last year, which was the fight prior.
Among his remarkable 18 wins, he secured victory with 14 via knockout, two through submission, and two by decision. It is worth highlighting that he boasts an impressive record of 13 first-round finishes out of his 18 fights, and all three of his defeats have been by knockout.
“Lok Dog” has established good wins in Future Fighting Championships (2-1) and UAE Warriors (5-1) as his most notable experiences. He has consistently battled against good fighters that have tested him so far in his career.
He is currently ranked as the 128
th
best bantamweight fighter in the world and the third best out of the Middle East. He has a great opportunity on a big stage to impress.
