The Denver Nuggets get set to take on the Phoenix Suns Wednesday night inside Ball Arena in Denver, Co. They tip it off at 10:00 pm. These two teams might meet in the playoffs and this has the makings of being a very wild and high-scoring affair between two teams that like to push the pace and the action. 

Bookmaker has installed the Nuggets as a solid - 6 point favorite in this clash. 

The Nuggets are looking to repeat as champions and are hoping to get through what would be a very tough and challenging western conference. They have the talent and the veteran leadership to get back to the Finals. But they know that to get there they will need all their players healthy and they can ill-afford to lose anyone to injury, and that includes the game's best player in Nikola Jokic, who once again has shown he can play at an MVP like levell. 

The 29-year-old center is averaging close to 26 points.a game while hauling down 12 rebounds and close to ten assists a night. He is very close to averaging a triple-double for an entire season and he can easily take over a game at any moment. He is so good that he will constantly draw a double team which allows other players to get wide open looks on the floor. 

Point guard Jamal Murray has been as solid as they come this season and they would love to have him out on the floor. He is averaging 20 points per game to go along with under five rebounds a game. Look for Denver to push the pace even if Murray, who is battling an ankle injury, can not go Wednesday night. 

The Suns are such a tough team to figure out. They are an extremely inconsistent team that has had some good moments this season and some rough ones. They do not lack talent and they have a deep roster, but they need to put together their best efforts come playoff time.

They have won four out of their last six games overall and sit just 2 1/2 games behind the front-running Los Angeles Clippers in the Pacific Division. They are led on offense by the duo of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, who have both been scoring in bunches. These two are capable of dropping 30 plus points on any given night. Durant is scoring 27.6 a contest, while Booker is tearing it up as he is netting 27. 4 a game. 

The Suns will go as far as these two can take them. If Phoenix cleans up its defense effort especially late in games they should be able to solidify a solid playoff spot in the conference. If they can get the ball into Durant's hands early in this one, he will get into a groove and start commanding a double-team and when he does that is when Booker is the most dangerous. 

Denver is 4-1 in their last five games and 2-3 in their last five games against the spread. They are also 15-21 in their roadgames against the spread and the totals have gone over in four out of their last five games.
