The Ottawa Senators will look to build off the momentum following the win against the Predators when they travel to face the Detroit Red Wings.

The Detroit Red Wings are in 5^th place in the Atlantic Division with a record of 26-18-5 and 57 points which also gives them the 8^th-best record in the Eastern Conference and are on a two-game winning streak following Saturday’s 5-2 win at home against the Vegas Golden Knights. The success of the Red Wings can be attributed to their offensive play as they are averaging the 5^th most goals per game and rank 12^th in power-play success rate with a power-play success rate of 22.83% and an average of 3.55 goals per game. Dylan Larkin has played a pivotal role in the success the offense has had for Detroit this season as he leads the team in goals and points with 22 goals and 46 points. 

Defensively, the Red Wings have been below average as they rank 22^nd in goals allowed per game with an average of 3.22 goals allowed per game, however, they have an above average penalty-kill percentage at 80.89% which ranks 12^th in the league. The Detroit Red Wings will look to extend their winning streak to three games when they host the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday evening.
