Race 2 - TURF

2 - DISATTACHED - Saez/Pletcher. First time starter is bred for turf and has solid works for debut. Still, it is asking to run this far first out against others who have run. Exotics.

5 - J BIRD TIME - Chuan/Romans. Second time starter stretches out from 7F to 1 1/16 miles. Horse improved late in the race to rally from 10^th to 5^th. Stretching out can help. BIG ODDS

8 - PUBLIUS - Gaffalione/Cox. Second time starter stretches out after closing at 1 mile to get third. Horse seemed to awaken late in the race. I expect a solid effort here. Nice odds.

Race 8 - THE BRYAN STATION - Grade 3 - TURF

1 - TALK OF THE NATION - Irad/McGaughey. Top 2. No doubt

9 - MORE THAN LOOKS - Johnny V/DeVaux. Horse is the best condition out of everyone in this field. Very tough to beat, but the last time this horse lost he was caught 6 wide and came in third. Have to manage a good position from post 9.

10 - APPRAISE - Gaffalione/Brown. We bet on this horse and just missed the win. This one will have to be career best to win, but top three is my choice.

Race 10 - TURF

1 - TRIKARI - Johnny V/Motion. I am going to take a shot with this horse. First time starter is bred to run on turf and has solid works for this. If this one can break well and take the rail trip it may come in top three. That is why it is called gambling.

5 - DEADPAN - Geroux/Casse. Second time starter faded in debut on the lead and ended up third. Should be better conditioned today.

11 - VIVALDI - Gaffalione/Brown. Deep closer who will be running late and will have the pace set up to do so. This rider closed on Thursday from the clouds to win in race five, I can see it again.
