Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens

January 20, 2024

The Divisional round of the NFL playoffs will kick off on Saturday afternoon when the Houston Texans travel to Baltimore, Maryland to face the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium with the game kicking off at 4:30 PM ET and will air on ABC and ESPN.

The Houston Texans advanced to the divisional round of the NFL playoffs with a dominating win in the Wild Card round against the Cleveland Browns by a score of 45-14. C.J. Stroud continues to have one of the most impressive rookie seasons of all time as he completed 16 of 21 attempts for 274 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the win against the Cleveland Browns. Stroud should win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year as he ended the regular season completing 319 of 419 attempts for 4,108 yards with 23 touchdowns and five interceptions while rushing for 167 yards and three touchdowns.

The Texans are one of the highest-scoring teams in the league as they are averaging 23.44 points per game which ranks 11th in the NFL. Houston is also one of the best defensive teams in the NFL as they rank 10th in points allowed per game with an average of 20.39 points allowed per game. The Houston Texans will look to extend their winning streak and advance to the AFC Championship game when they travel to face the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens ended the regular season with the best record in the NFL and the 1 seed in the AFC with a record of 13-4, however, they lost their regular-season finale at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 10-17 which also ended their six-game winning streak but the loss can be attributed to the Ravens resting the majority of their starters. Lamar Jackson is the odds-on favorite to win the NFL MVP award as he played a pivotal role in the 3rd highest-scoring offense in the NFL.

Jackson led the team in passing and rushing as he completed 307 of 457 attempts for 3,678 yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing for 821 yards and five touchdowns. The Ravens also had one of the best scoring defenses in the NFL as they allowed the fewest points per game with an average of 16.47 points allowed per game. The Baltimore Ravens will look to advance to the AFC Championship game when they host the Houston Texans on Saturday afternoon.
