The first ESPN Sunday Night Baseball game of the 2024 MLB season will feature the St. Louis Cardinals facing the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California with the first pitch scheduled for 7:10 PM ET.

After starting the season 0-2, the St. Louis Cardinals won their first game of the 2024 MLB season with a 6-5 win in extra innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 of the series on Saturday night.

Paul Goldschmidt scored the game-winning RBI in the 10^th inning when he hit a groundout that scored Victor Scott II. 

The St. Louis Cardinals will look to improve their record to .500 at 2-2 with a win in Game 4 of the series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers entered the season projected to be one of the highest-scoring teams in baseball and have lived up to that projection through their first five games of the season as they enter this game averaging 6.8 runs per game following a 5-6 loss in game three of the series against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday night.
