February 2, 2024
The Golden State Warriors will travel to Memphis, Tennessee to face the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedExForum with the game tipping off at 8:00 PM ET on Friday night and will air on NBA TV.
Golden State has been one of the worst teams in the Western Conference this season as they enter this game in 12
place in the conference with a record of 20-24, however, they are coming off a 119-107 win at home against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday which also ended their two-game losing streak. The Warriors have been an above-average team offensively as they rank 7
in the NBA in points per game with an average of 118.57 points per game, however, they have been a below-average team defensively as they are allowing the 9
most points per game in the NBA with an average of 118.75 points allowed per game. Stephen Curry leads the team in scoring and is 3
on the team in assists with an average of 27.5 points and 5 assists per game while leading the NBA in 3-point shots made with 195 made this season. The Golden State Warriors will look to build off the momentum following the home win against the Philadelphia 76ers when they travel to face the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Memphis Grizzlies are one of the worst teams in the NBA this season with a record of 18-29 which gives them the 7
worst record in the league and are on a three-game losing streak following Thursday’s 101-108 loss at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Grizzlies have been an above-average team defensively as they are allowing an average of 112.62 points per game which ranks 12
in the league, however, they are the lowest-scoring team in the NBA with an average of 107.51 points per game. Jaren Jackson has been one of the better players on the team as he is 2
on the team in points with an average of 21.9 points per game and is 2
on the team in rebounds with an average of 6.4 rebounds per game. The Memphis Grizzlies will look to end their three-game losing streak when they host the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
has the Golden State Warriors listed as 5.5-point favorites on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night. The teams are 5-5 in the last ten matchups while Memphis has won the previous three meetings. The Grizzlies have covered the spread in seven of the last ten including the previous four games in the series. The Golden State Warriors are 21-22-1 ATS overall, 11-7 ATS on the road, and 9-17 ATS as a favorite this season while the Memphis Grizzlies are 23-25 ATS overall, 8-14 ATS at home, and 18-18 ATS as an underdog on the year.
Golden State enters this game with a better record, however, Memphis has been the better team most recently in the series, winning three straight against Golden State. The Grizzlies have also dominated the spread in the series covering seven of the last ten including the previous four contests. As a result, I am buying the .5 point and taking the points with the Memphis Grizzlies when they host the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
