The finale of a two-game series is coming up soon between the Tampa Bay Rays and Miami Marlins. These two Floridian teams offer great betting opportunities, as well as appealing offense.

The Marlins have been inconsistent in recent play heading into this series. They struggled offensively against the Washington Nationals and San Diego Padres, indicating that they will do the same here against a better team. Jesus Lazardo (9-8) is a good matchup against the Rays, with an ERA of 3.77.

They average .258 at the plate, nearly matching the Rays. As for ERA, it is a bit lacking for this scenario at 4.15, as well as their OBP at .314. Their slugging percentage is also a little low for a team with a winning record.

The Marlins are third in the NL East, but trail the Atlanta Braves by nearly 20 games. While they are probably not making the playoffs, they still pose a threat with their offense.
