The Milwaukee Brewers wrap up a three-game set against the lowly St. Louis Cardinals with the finale of the set slated for Thursday afternoon inside Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri. 

They toss out the first pitch at 1:15 pm. Milwaukee got the better of the Cardinals, 8-2, on Wednesday night, as they have won two straight after dropping two in a row. The Cardinals are listed as -113 favorites in this clash on Thursday. 

The Brewers (86-66) have been able to find some breathing room and pull away from the upstart Chicago Cubs in the NL Central division. They lead the Cubs by xx games and they have also been able to pull away from the fading Cincinnati Reds too. 

On offense, the Brewers have some very consistent and sound hitters, including veteran left fielder Christian Yelich who has cracked 17 home runs while driving in 70 runs. They can not wait until the playoffs to just turn it on. 

They will hand the ball over to wily veteran Wade Miley who has a record of 8-4 to go along with an ERA of 3.38. He has 107. career wins and is enjoying his second stint with the Brewers, who gave him the ball back in 2018 when he went 5-2 for them. 

The Cardinals (67-85) have endured a very tough and rough season and they are limping towards the end of a very disappointing season. They are on the verge of losing 100 games and they are buried in 5^th place in the NL Central. They have occupied the basement of that division for months now and they really do not appear to be heading in the right direction as the off-season approaches for them. 

They do not have a ton of weapons in their lineup and on offense, they are led by veteran third baseman Nolan Arenado, who has cracked 26 home runs to go along with 93 runs batted in. He is also hitting .268 on the season.

St. Louis will send out Miles Mikolas who has a record of 7-12 to go along with an ERA of 4.84. He has fanned 118 hitters in 182.1 innings of work for St. Louis, which has a team ERA of 4.74 this season.
