The Myrtle Beach Bowl will take place on Saturday morning and will feature the Georgia Southern Eagles taking on the Ohio Bobcats in Conway, South Carolina at Brooks Stadium with the game scheduled to start at 11:00 AM ET and will air on ESPN.

 

The Georgia Southern Eagles finished in 5^th place in the Sun Belt East with a record of 6-6, however, they lost their last four games of the season including a 27-55 loss on the road against the Appalachian State Mountaineers in their final game of the regular season. 

 

The success of the Eagles this season can be attributed to their offense as they enter this game averaging 30.92 points per game and the success they have had offensively can be attributed to their passing game as they are averaging 283.5 passing yards per game which ranks 14^th in college football. Davis Brin has played a pivotal role in the success of the passing offense as he enters this game having completed 330 of 511 attempts for 3,431 yards with 22 touchdowns and 16 interceptions while Khaleb Hood has been the main beneficiary of the passing game as he leads the team in receiving with 93 receptions for 901 yards and five touchdowns. 

 

The Eagles will look to end the season with a winning record and end their four-game losing streak when they face the Ohio Bobcats in the Myrtle Beach Bowl.

 

Ohio finished in 2^nd place in the East Division of the MAC Conference with a record of 9-3 and finished the regular season on a three-game winning streak which included a 25-14 win on the road against the Akron Zips in the season finale. 

 

The Bobcats were a below-average scoring team this season as they averaged 22.92 points per game, however, they had one of the best scoring defenses in the MAC as they allowed an average of 15.42 points per game which ranked 5^th in college football. 

 

The Ohio Bobcats will look to get to double-digit wins for the 2^nd consecutive season and finish the season on a four-game winning streak when they face the Georgia Southern Eagles in the Myrtle Beach Bowl on Saturday morning.
