NBA Betting Pick and Prediction: Brooklyn Nets vs. Phoenix Suns

December 13, 2023

The Brooklyn Nets get set to take on the Phoenix Suns Wednesday night inside the Frost Bank Center in Phoenix, Arizona. They jump it up at 8:00pm. The Nets have had a really nice start to their season and look to keep up their winning ways.

Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview

The Nets have been a pleasant surprise so far this season as they sit two games over .500 on the season. They have actually had some decent wins along the way and have shown some fight in them, which has been lacking in year's past. The Nets have won six of eight overall.

On offense, they are paced by Cam Thomas who is pumping in around 23.4 points per game, while Mikal Bridges adds 23.1 points per clip. Both players have really grown into their roles and they have shown they can score big buckets on any given night.

Thomas has also done a nice job on the boards with three a game, while Bridges cleans up the glass for six boards per game. These two have been a nice breath of fresh air for a team that surely lacked it. They have done a much better job of not turning the ball over.

Phoenix Suns Betting Preview

The Suns have hung around the Pacific division early on in the season. They have a ton of veteran players and scorers on their team and they just need to figure out a way to put it all together. The face of the Suns' right now is veteran and future HOF'er Kevin Durant, who is averaging 31 points to go along with six rebounds and close to six assists per contest.

The offense circles around Durant and they want to get the ball into the hands early and often. Durant still plays at a high level and this season he is being helped out by teammates, including shooting guard Devin Booker, who is netting around 27 points per game and he has shown he is a star in this league and looks to distribute the ball first and foremost.

He is leading the team with a career-high 8.1 assists per game. His court vision and his knack for putting the ball on the floor and attacking the rim makes him a very special player.

Phoenix is connecting on 52% from the floor, including 38.5% from beyond the arc. They have some really nice shooters on their team and should be able to get clean looks against a Nets team that has had issues on the defensive side of the floor.
