NBA Betting Pick and Prediction: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Sacramento Kings

November 13, 2023

The Cleveland Cavaliers will travel to Sacramento, California to face the Sacramento Kings at the Golden 1 Center on Monday night with the game scheduled to start at 10:00 PM ET and will air on Bally Sports Ohio and NBA TV.

After a disappointing start to the season in which the Cleveland Cavaliers started the season with a record of 1-3, they have gone on to win three of their last five games including an impressive 118-110 win on the road against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday while also covering the 4.5-point spread as a road underdog by winning the game outright. However, the Cavaliers have been inconsistent on offense as they started the season off averaging 103.6 points per game in their first five games, however, they have averaged 117.25 points per game over their last four matchups, however, they are still one of the lowest-scoring teams in the league as they are averaging 109.67 points per game which is the 8th lowest average in the NBA.

After winning the Pacific Division and finishing in 3rd place in the Western Conference, the Sacramento Kings have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the NBA this season as they enter this game with a record of 4-4 which puts them in 2nd place in the Pacific Division and 7th place in the Western Conference. However, after starting November 0-3 the Kings have won their last two games with both wins coming at home against the Portland Trail Blazers in overtime by a score of 121-118, and their most recent game on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 105-98 while covering the 2-point spread as a home underdog by winning the game outright. One of the main reasons for the struggles for the Kings this season has been their play offensively as they enter this game averaging 111.13 points per game which is below the league average of 113.56 points per game. The Kings will be looking to extend their winning streak to three games when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night.

BookMaker has the Cleveland Cavaliers listed as 3-point favorites on the road against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night. Sacramento has won seven of the last ten and two of the last three meetings while going 8-2 ATS in the last ten and 3-0 ATS in the last three games in the series. The Cleveland Cavaliers are 3-6 ATS overall, 2-3 ATS on the road, and 1-4 ATS as a favorite this season while the Sacramento Kings are 4-4 ATS overall, 2-2 ATS at home, and 2-0 ATS as an underdog on the year.

Sacramento has dominated the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers as they have won seven of the last ten and two of the last three meetings. The Kings have also gone 8-2 ATS in the last ten and 3-0 ATS in the last three games in the series while also covering the spread in both games in which they have been an underdog while the Cavaliers have struggled to cover the spread as a favorite going 1-4 ATS as a favorite. I look for those trends to continue which is why I am taking the points with the Sacramento Kings when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
