NBA Betting Pick and Prediction: Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Clippers

December 2, 2023

Two Pacific Division rivals will face off against each other on Saturday afternoon when the Golden State Warriors travel to Los Angeles, California to face the Los Angeles Clippers at the Crypto.com Arena with the game scheduled to start at 4:00 PM ET.

Many are wondering if the dynasty is over for the Dubs as they have had their key pieces from their dynasty all healthy this season for the first time in a few seasons, however, they have started the season with a record of 9-10 and are currently in 10th place in the Western Conference. Golden State is not playing at the high level offensively we are used to seeing as they enter this game averaging 114.95 points per game which is barely above the league average of 114.16 points per game. There have been whispers that Klay Thompson may be removed from the starting lineup as well even though he is 2nd on the team in scoring with an average of 15.7 points per game. The only player of the original three that is still playing at a high level is Stephen Curry who leads the team in scoring with 29.5 points per game. The Warriors will look to repeat Thursday’s performance when they face the Los Angeles Clippers for the 2nd game in a row.

The Los Angeles Clippers are also not living up to the expectations they had entering this season as they enter this game with a record of 8-10 which puts them in 11th place in the Western Conference and are coming off a 114-120 loss on the road against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday. The Clippers have been a below-average team in terms of scoring this season as they enter this game averaging 112.94 points per game while allowing the 6th fewest points per game in the league with an average of 109.56 points per game. Los Angeles will look to bounce back following the loss on Thursday when they host the Golden State Warriors on Saturday afternoon.

BookMaker has the Los Angeles Clippers listed as 4.5-point favorites at home against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday afternoon. Golden State has won six of the last ten and two of the last three meetings. The teams are 5-5 ATS in the last ten while the Warriors are 2-1 ATS in the last three games in the series. The Golden State Warriors are 8-11 ATS overall, 6-3 ATS on the road, and 5-3 ATS as an underdog this season while the Los Angeles Clippers are 7-11 ATS overall, 4-4 ATS at home, and 6-7 ATS as a favorite on the year.

Golden State has been the better team this season and in the series, winning six of the last ten and two of the last three meetings while going 2-1 ATS in the last three matchups. The Warriors are 6-3 ATS on the road while the Clippers are 4-4 ATS at home which is why I am buying the .5 point and taking the points with the Golden State Warriors when they travel to face the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday afternoon.
