NBA Betting Pick and Prediction: Indiana Pacers vs. Toronto Raptors

November 22, 2023

The Toronto Raptors hit the road and take on the Indiana Pacers Wednesday night inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. They toss it up at 7:30 pm. Both teams are trying to get on a little run entering December.

Bookmaker has installed the Pacers as a slim 3 1/2 point favorite.

Indiana Pacers Betting Preview

The Pacers (8-5)  have had an up-and-down start to the season and they have some really nice players and talent on their roster, including point guard Tyrese Haliburton, who is averaging 23 points per game to go along with four boards and a solid 11 assists per game. He looks to dish first and then scores second. He is the leader on the floor and looks to get Myles Turner, who is netting around 17 per game, into the mix early and often.

They won a crazy high-scoring affair on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks, 157-152.

The Pacers like to spread the ball around on the floor and their guards can put it on the floor and go to the basket. They play solid defense too and during a recent three-game winning streak their offense was scoring at will. They had games where they scored 152, 134, and 126 in wins.

They connect on a very impressive 57% from the floor, including 37.8% from beyond the arc. They have some really nice shooters on their team, including Jalen Smith who connects on around 68% from beyond the arc.

Toronto Raptors Betting Preview

The Raptors (6-8) are buried last in the Atlantic Division and just snapped a two-game slide with a win over a very bad Detroit Pistons team. It was a bad loss, considering the Pistons are one of the worst teams in the entire league.

They dropped a 126-107 decision to the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night.

Toronto's offense is centered around Scottie Barnes, who is averaging a team-high 20 points per game and he also dishes out six assists to go along with a team-high 8.9 boards per contest. Power forward and veteran Pascal Siakam is a solid leader on the floor and he is contributing 19 points per game and still plays at a high level at the age of 29.

Siakam had 16 in the loss against the Magic.

The Raptors had a huge game against a bad Pistons team as they lit up the scoreboard by scoring 142 points and in the process easily covered the nine point spread. But many teams have been covering against the Pistons this season.
