NBA Betting Pick and Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Brooklyn Nets

December 27, 2023

The red-hot and streaking Milwaukee Bucks get set to clash against the Brooklyn Nets Wednesday night inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. They jump it up at 7:30 pm.

Milwaukee Bucks Betting Preview

The Bucks have been on a tear and even though they just saw their seven-game winning streak snapped, they have still managed to win nine out of 11 games overall. They are showing signs of a team on a mission and they are scoring in bunches.

On offense, they are getting great production from all-world power forward and perennial MVP candidate in Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is putting up monster numbers as usual for a team that is looking to make a deep run come playoff time.

The 29-year-old has flat out taken over games this season and he is currently averaging 30 points a game. He is also hauling down close to 11 boards per contest and has clearly been the face of this franchise.

On defense, Milwaukee has shown they can clamp down and play solid defense late in games. Because they love to push the pace and tempo, they make it much harder for teams to try to match them point for point. They are averaging around

Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview

The Nets have not had a red-hot start to the season like the Bucks have, and they were able to recently snap a bad five-game winning streak with a much-needed win. A 126-115 win over the league's worst team in the Detroit Pistons will get any team right, but Brookyln will have to figure out a way to slow down the Bucks explosive offense if they have any shot at winning this game.

They were looking for their second straight win as they entered Tuesday night's action against the lowly Pistons.

The under is 8-2 in the last ten meetings between these two squads and look for the Nets to double team the explosive Antetokounmpo, who has torched the Nets to the tune of 36 points in his career.

Brooklyn will counter with Cam Thomas who is the leader on offense as he is netting around 24 a game for Brooklyn, which shoots around 52% from the floor including 38% from beyond the arc. They have some decent shooters on offense too, including small forward Mikal Bridgers, who is capable of erupting for 25 plus points when given the opportunity. The 27-year-old product out of Villanova is scoring 21 a game while handing out 3.9 assists per contest.

Game Odds, Series Trends and Free Pick

The Nets are a solid 5-0-1 against the number to begin the season, while the Bucks are a decent 7-3 against the number in the last ten meetings. The Nets are 1-4 in their last five games and 1-4 in their last five games against the number. They are also 7-6 in their road games against the spread too. The Bucks are 4-1 in their last five games and 2-3 in their last five games against the number. They are also 6-6 in their road games against the number too.
