NBA Betting Picks and Predictions: Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

November 16, 2023

The reeling Golden State Warriors look to snap a four-game losing streak when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder Thursday night inside the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. They tip it off at 7:30 pm.

BetDSI has installed the Thunder as a slim 2 1/2 point favorite in Thursday's clash.

Golden State Warriors Betting Preview

The Warriors (6-6) have dropped five of six overall and have really struggled of late, as their offense has looked out of sync and their late-game defense has been non-existent. Only a win against the young Detroit Pistons has stopped the bleeding a tad.

Overall, the Warriors look like a team in disarray and Tuesday night was no different as Draymond Green was ejected after getting into an exchange with Minnesota's Rudy Gobert, which led to Green putting Gobert in a headlock. From there, it went downhill for the Warriors in a 104-101 setback.

They need to pull it together and go back to what used to work for them in years past and that was pushing the ball up the floor and counting on veteran shooting guard and playmaker Stephen Curry to take over games.

But, now they have another issue as Curry is slated to miss the game as he is dealing with a knee issue. The bulk of the offense now has to go through veteran shooting guard Klay Thompson and against a younger fresher Thunder team, it will prove to be a tough task.

The Warriors are 6-6 overall against the number.

Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview

The Thunder (7-4) have won two straight and four of five overall and they have shown they have some staying power early on in the season. They have a ton of youth and some athleticism led by rising point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who is netting 29 a game this season and has really become the face of the franchise.

The Thunder will look to make this a fast game and push the pace against the Warriors, who have not played the best transitional defense this season. The Thunder will look to exploit that and take advantage of that. They are also a strong shooting team from beyond the arc as they are connecting on a solid 37% from the floor.

The Thunder average around 114 points a game and they allow around 109 points a game. They do need to work on turning the ball over as they average 14 turnovers a game.

Game Odds, Series Trends and Free Pick

The Warriors are 1-4 in their last five games and 2-2 in their last five games against the number and 5-2 in their road games against the number. The Thunder are 4-1 in their last five games and 4-1 in their last five games against the number and they are a solid 3-1 in their road games against the spread.
