The Sweet 16 of the 2024 NCAA Tournament will start on Thursday evening when the 6-seed Clemson Tigers face the 2-seed Arizona Wildcats in the West Region, with the game taking place in Los Angeles, California, at the Crypto.com Arena with tip-off scheduled for 7:09 PM ET and will air on CBS.

The Clemson Tigers have not been tested in either of their games in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. After a 77-56 win in the first round against the 11-seed New Mexico Lobos, in which they led almost wire to wire, the Tigers turned around and led wire to wire against the Baylor Bears after a 10-5 run to start the game. The Arizona Wildcats have been one of the top teams in college basketball this season. They won the regular-season conference title in the Pac-12 after finishing with a conference record of 15-5. After starting the tournament off 5-0, the only team left in the 2024 NCAA Tournament is the Arizona Wildcats, as the Washington State Cougars, Colorado Buffaloes, and Oregon Ducks all lost in the round of 32. 

The Wildcats have won both games in the 2024 NCAA Tournament by double-digits, including a 78-68 win against the Dayton Flyers in the 2^nd round of the tournament on Saturday. The game against Dayton started close as the Wildcats would only have a 1-point lead at the 16:57 mark in the 1^st half before going on an 8-0 run and never led by less than seven points after taking the 17-8 lead. 

The Wildcats' last trip to the Elite Eight came in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. They also have a solid record in the Sweet 16, with a record of 10-8. The Arizona Wildcats will look to advance to the Elite Eight with a win against the Clemson Tigers on Thursday evening.
